Banding Assessment

All students who wish to attend Herne Bay High School must have sat the banding assessment; it does not guarantee your child a place at our school, but students will not be offered a place if they have not sat the assessment. 

Completion of the Banding Assessment application form does not constitute an application to Herne Bay High School and the Banding Assessment is not an entry test.

If your child attends Herne Bay Juniors, Herne Juniors, Reculver, Hampton, Thornden Woods, Joy Lane and Swalecliffe primary schools, they will be able to sit the Banding Assessment in their primary school during the week commencing 11th November. Children who attend other schools, can sit the Banding Assessment at HBHS on Tuesday 26th or Thursday 28th November at 4:00pm.
