6th Form Administration Assistant - Wednesday 20th October 2021

We are seeking an enthusiastic and committed person to join the Key Stage 5 team. The position will be part of the 6th Form Team and you will be professional, efficient, and flexible within your duties. The role predominantly includes dealing with students’ daily attendance as well as liaising with other stakeholders as required regarding welfare. A high level of computer literacy is necessary along with good communications skills. Duties also include clerical tasks and being a proactive presence within the 6th Form Centre. A knowledge of SIMS would be useful but not essential.
This is a full time, term time + 5 days position, working 37 hours per week. Monday - Thursday 8.00am-4.00pm and Friday 8.00am-3.30pm.
Salary is within HBHS Band 3, £17,186 -£18,078 pro rata making annual salary approximately between £14,500-£15,200.

Cleaner - Wednesday 20th October 2021

We are looking to employ cleaners to our extremely busy cleaning team to work a combination of shifts. The available working hours are Monday-Friday 5.30-7.30am, 10.00am-2.00pm and/or 3.15-5.15pm 10, 20 or 30 hours per week, term time plus 6 weeks. £8.91 per hour. Learning Support Assistant Specialist - Monday 18th October 2021

We are looking to recruit a Learning Support Assistant Specialist to join our very successful Special Educational Needs Department. Applicants would benefit from knowledge or experience of ASD and ADHD and expect to work one-to-one with a student. Due to specific learning needs this student will likely require lesson material to be further differentiated beyond what the mainstream class receives.
Please note that this role is linked directly to the student in question, and the role will no longer be required should the student leave Herne Bay High School.
Working hours are 8.30am-3.15pm Monday-Friday, with cover put in place to provide a lunch break. 31.25 hours per week, term time plus 2 days. This role is Band 4, £18,078 - £18,995 pro rata with approximate actual salary between £11,630 and £12,200 dependent upon experience.

Relevant qualifications, whilst desirable, are not essential although some formal qualifications in English and Maths would be preferable. This is a part time, permanent position, 28 hours per week, term time only + 2 days. Salary will be within the HBHS Pay Scheme Band 3, £17,186 to £18,078 pro rata, actual salary between £10,700 to £11,300 dependent upon experience.

HLTA Maths - Monday 18th October 2021

The school is looking to recruit a Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) for our Maths Department. Applicants should have a sound understanding of SEND students, have at least a level 2 literacy and numeracy qualification and either hold or be prepared to work towards the necessary HLTA qualification. Knowledge of the latest GCSE maths specification would be a great benefit.
This is a busy position with the school requiring someone with a calm and professional disposition.
This is a full time, permanent position, 37 hours per week, term time only + 5 days. Salary will be within the HBHS Pay Scheme Band 5, £18,994 to £20,893 pro rata, actual salary between £16,400 to £18,000 dependent upon experience.
