On Wednesday 22nd March, Year 12 Law students visited the Law School at the University of Kent, Canterbury. This was the third session run by the university that was looking at critical thinking in Law.
The final session was a “moot”, which is a mock trial for undergraduate law students that took place in the university’s mock courtroom. Students had limited time to prepare their submissions for a moot that’s normally given to second year undergraduates.
All of the students rose magnificently to the challenge, delivering their submissions and arguments to the court. Students then received feedback on their arguments from the judges before watching some postgraduate law students deliver the same moot.
