Fish Filleting in Food Technology

Today, Monday, our Year 10 Food Technology students were visited by Mark Stubbs, the head chef at Wheelers Oyster Bar to demonstrate how to fillet fish.

Students were shown how to fillet different fish. They were taught how to check that fish is fresh and the importance of seasoning.

The fascinating session finished with being shown how to cook a piece of cod to a restaurant standard. Mrs Gowers, head of Technology said: "We all enjoyed tasting the cod and a number of students were surprised at how easy it was to cook."
