Sixth Form Students visited by Ashley Walters

Last term we were delighted to welcome the incredible Ashley Walters to Herne Bay High School, who met with our A-Level Media Studies and Drama students.  

Ashley Walters is known for his remarkable contributions to the film and television industry, with standout performances in British social realist films such as "Bullet Boy". You will likely recognise him from his recent role as Dushane in the Netflix series "Top Boy," where he also served as an executive producer for series 4, a show which has captivated audiences worldwide. 

Beyond his screen presence, Ashley has graced the stage with performances at prestigious venues like the Royal National Theatre, showcasing his versatility and passion for storytelling. 

Ashley spoke about his evolving career from his first audition to having embraced new roles behind the camera. He shared his love of British Film and offered insights into exciting upcoming projects. Following his engaging talk, he visited our Media department, where students had the opportunity to discuss and showcase their own media productions. 

We extend our immense gratitude to Ashley for his inspiring presence, openness, and warmth, which had a profound impact on our students.
