Transition to School Gateway

Back to Overview
17 Feb

In January, we communicated our intention to transition to the School Gateway integrated payment platform during the February half term. We are delighted to announce that this transition has been successfully completed.

Lunch Money Top-Ups: All lunch money top-ups must now be done through the SchoolGateway app. The previous methods via the MyEd or PlusPay apps are no longer available. To top up your child’s lunch balance, follow these steps:

  • Open the School Gateway app.
  • Select the Lunch Money option from the home screen.
  • Tap Top Up Balance at the bottom of the screen.

Parent and Guardian Communications: Going forward, all communications will be sent via School Gateway, replacing the MyEd platform. You will receive SMS messages through a unique number allocated to our school: +44 1227 250538. Please note that our main school phone number (01227 361221) remains unchanged.

Setting Up School Gateway: If you haven’t already set up the School Gateway app, the process is quick and straightforward:

  • Search for “School Gateway” in the Apple App Store or Google Play, or visit the following links:
    • Apple App Store
    • Google Play
  • Install the app and allow push notifications when prompted.
  • When launching School Gateway for the first time, select ‘New User’ and enter the email address and mobile telephone number registered with the school.
  • The system will send a PIN code to your phone; enter this code to activate the app.
  • Once set up, all text messages from the school will appear in the app, and you’ll receive notifications as usual.
