Senior Science Technician - Friday 14th June 2019

We require a Senior Science Technician to join our well established Science department. The successful applicant will be responsible for managing the technician team to ensure teaching staff and pupils are effectively supported by the provision of the practical component of the science curriculum. We are seeking an organised, experienced and motivated individual. The role will involve supporting the learning of students by providing assistance with the practical needs of the curriculum. The successful candidate will demonstrate a good knowledge and understanding in all aspects of Science, which can include a specific specialism. Responsible and conscientious approach to Health & Safety and experience of working within a laboratory environment is desirable. Further professional training will be available to the appointed candidate. This position is 37 hours per week, term time + 2 weeks. Salary will be within HBHS Salary Band 5, £18,293 to £20,121 pro rata, actual salary between approximately £15,800 to £17,400 dependent upon experience.

Science Technician - Friday 14th June 2019

We are seeking a suitably experienced person to join our Science Department as a Science Technician to start 1st September 2019. The successful candidate will be required to plan and prepare equipment for lessons within all three disciplines of science and should be confident with handling chemicals. This position is 37 hours per week, term time + 2weeks. Salary will be within the HBHS Salary Band 3 £15,831 to £17,411 pro rata, actual salary between approximately £13,500 to £15,000 dependent upon experience.

The successful applicant will be supporting some of our most vulnerable young people in helping them to overcome their barriers to learning. This position is 37 hours per week, term time plus 5 days. Salary will be within HBHS Salary Band 3-4, £15,831 to £18,293 pro rata dependent upon experience. Actual salary between approximately £13,300 to £15,400 dependent upon experience.
