The My Reconnect Rainbow has been extended until the end of October:
My Reconnect Rainbow Challenge
It's time to reconnect to all the things we have missed over the last 18 months. In 2020, the Kent School Games ‘My Active Rainbow Challenge’ helped so many of you to keep active during lockdown. This new challenge is designed to remind us of all the great things in our lives: family, friends, health, opportunities to learn new things, our communities, sports ... and most of all, a bright future.
All whilst getting our daily physical activity!
'My Reconnect Rainbow Challenge' is FREE for all schools and families with school-aged children in Kent and Medway. Use it just to give you ideas, or complete and submit the challenges by the end of October to earn rewards . . . it's up to you!

The Education People – A Guide to Subject Leadership for New PE Leaders

Becoming the PE subject leader can be an intimidating prospect, particularly with the additional responsibilities associated with the PE Premium. This course provides a step by step guide for those new (or fairly new!) to the role of PE leader in their school, along with a wealth of useful resources and templates to get them up and running. Delegates will leave the course feeling confident in their understanding of their statutory responsibilities, the key tasks that form part of the role and best practice. They will also have the added benefit of ongoing email support from the course tutor, throughout the academic year. Schools can use their PE and Sport Premium funding for this course

The course will be run over two sessions:

  • Thursday 11th November – 9:30 – 12:30
  • Thursday 25th November – 9:30 – 12:30

Create Development – Embedding a child centred approach to PE across your School

This webinar is an opportunity for Subject and School Leaders to explore how real PE can be embedded across your school, giving clear alignment between intent, implementation and impact. Now, more than ever, PE needs to play a significant part in helping children develop a broad range of skills, such as communication, problem solving, resilience and creativity, particularly as many children will not have been developing these during the pandemic.

This FREE webinar will explore:

  • In person training opportunities for your staff
  • Parental access to home learning in PE
  • Simple assessment tools
  • Programmes that use the same real PE approach, to further support your staff and school: real foundations, real gym, real play and new real dance.

We will also be joined by a guest speaker, Adam Tickner, PE Subject Leader at St Edwards Catholic Primary School.

Thursday 30th September – 4pm to 5pm
