Kent Sport are supporting schools in Kent and Medway to take part in One Run’s Global Relay and want to share the opportunity with you. One Run’s free initiative looks to get pupils and teachers moving on Friday 15th October for 15 minutes or more. How you choose to be active is up to you – whether you walk, run dance or play sport – join the mission to unite the globe through physical activity.

One Run’s event has schools from 195 different countries signed up to move on the same day. Sign up to get your school on the map and access to downloadable certificates, assembly templates and optional lesson plans.

All information can be found on the attachment and the sign-up link is here. Don’t forget to put Kent Sport in the active partnership box!

Kent Sport has identified our area as having a higher-than-average percentage of visually impaired/ blind pupils. There is an exciting opportunity for visually impaired pupils to attend free visually impaired football sessions, coached by an experienced ex- FA England Disability Coach, coordinated by the Kent County Football Association.

This is the first time that blind/visually impaired football sessions have been offered in Kent and is fully funded, so it would be great to see all spots filled!

When: 10am-11:30am, every Sunday, 10th Oct- 27th March 2021
Where: Sports Hall 3, Kent Sport, University of Kent, Canterbury, CT2 7NL
Who: Open to all aged 6-18 years old with a visual impairment. No football experience needed, open to all abilities
