Our Business, Computing and Work Related Learning department, in partnership with East Kent Business Partnership, are holding an Enterprise Day for our Year 9 students today, Wednesday 16th January.
As part of the activities, students have been asked to envisage a new use for an existing piece of equipment. During the morning session today, the winning groups repurposed the equipment as a vanity storage unit, marketed under the name R&R Mirrors; whilst the runners up marketed their device as isnap, which is a water filtration unit for third world countries.
Mrs Payne, Head of Business, Computing and WRL said "We're really pleased to be holding another enterprise day for our Year 9 students. We hope this will inspire those that want to enter a career in business or entrepreneurship; we also want to help students make a more informed choice when selecting their options for GCSE, a process which starts with tonight's Options Evening."
