Success for 6th Form in Performance Tables

The 6th Form Leadership team are extremely pleased that the hard work from our staff and students has been reflected in the latest 16-18 School Performance Tables, released yesterday, Thursday 24th January. Out of the 60 Grammar and Non-Selective schools from Medway, Swale, Canterbury, Ashford, Thanet, Dover and Folkestone we achieved 2nd place for A level and Academic progress meaning that we are one of only two schools where students make more progress than expected. When comparing our 6th Form against the almost 100 across the whole of Kent we were ranked 6th.

A wide variety of programmes of study are on offer to our 6th Form students

This fantastic achievement is due to the high expectations that our teachers have of their students, the belief from students that they can and want to achieve, and the care, support and aspirations the students receive during their time in the 6th Form at Herne Bay High School.

Students in New York with Statue of Liberty

A residential trip to New York is an option to students in Year 13

Mr Boyes is thrilled at the news and wanted to reiterate to those Year 11 students considering joining our 6th Form in September that applications are still open and he "would welcome any applicant who wants to be the best they can be at Herne Bay High School."

Students with A-Level Results

Our students celebrated excellent A-Level results in Summer 2018

We will continue providing the 1st class 6th Form education at Herne Bay High School and are determined and excited about providing the best 6th Form journey for the young people of East Kent.
