Herne Bay High School is delighted to report that its Year 11 students have achieved a fantastic set of GCSEs this year and we would like to congratulate them for their hard work, tenacity and resilience.
Regrettably due to circumstances beyond the school’s control we have yet to be sent through our students’ BTEC and vocational subjects’ results - however we are expecting these results to be as equally pleasing as our GCSE results.
Students across the ability range have made excellent progress and there are many examples of students achieving the very top grades with more that 30% of this year’s GCSE results being at grades 9 to 6, which are comparable to A**, A*, A and B.
These results will prove the springboard for our students to progress onto the next stage of their educational journey, whether this be as one of the vast majority of students staying on into the school’s outstanding Sixth Form, or whether it be moving to another educational institution, or into a training position.
These Year 11 students have not only achieved a super set of exam results, but they have also gained so much more during their time at Herne Bay High School, whether this be in the fields of sport or the visual or performing arts, supporting charities or undertaking community service and for this they should be very proud!
We wish them all the very best for the future.
