It's that time of year again when we think about raising money for the BBC Children in Need appeal.
There's a great tradition at Herne Bay High of raising money for charity and we are proud that we regularly raise upwards of £5,000 for Children in Need each year. By far our two biggest fundraisers are our non-uniform day and the annual Dance Dash.
Students will have the opportunity to wear non school uniform to school on Friday 19th November, in return for a £1 donation to Children in Need. This can be paid by students in cash at school, however this year we are also encouraging the use of electronic payments to reduce the need to handle cash, and you can pay your child's non-uniform donation by PlusPay payment option in My Ed or to our Children in Need Justgiving page, simply by clicking the button below:
Our Dance students are really pleased to be back out and about, dashing around the local area once again, as they raise money for Children in Need. They'll be performing their specially choreographed piece in local primary schools, plus members of the public will have the opportunity to watch them dance in Mortimer Street in Herne Bay between 11:30 and 12:30. If you see them shaking their buckets, please give generously!
New for this year, we are also holding a raffle, with the fantastic prize of a giant plush Pudsey Bear which has been donated to the school. Tickets are priced at £1 and can be purchased via the PlusPay Payments option in your MyEd app or students can pay by cash in school. The draw will be made on Friday 19th November and the winner contacted by the school.
We hope that our whole school community will join us in raising as much money as possible for this wonderful cause.
