PE CO-ORDINATOR MEETING
Many thanks to all those who were able to attend the meeting last week. A copy of the presentation has been sent out by email, along with information on PE Deep Dives and other areas covered.
As discussed at the meeting, please remember to tag Herne Bay High School from your Facebook page whenever you take part in any of our competitions at Herne Bay High School and also to please visit Sports Partnership Events - Herne Bay High School for updates and photos from events that have taken place as well as weekly In The Loops and other information.
TEACHER STRIKES
Further to Hannah’s recent email, the forthcoming teacher strikes currently impact the Speed Stacking competition planned for 1st February so this event will now be postponed to a later date. Thank you for your entries - we will keep you updated regarding the new date.

TERM 3 COMPETITIONS
Yr5/6 Sportshall Athletics
This competition took place last Wednesday, with 14 teams taking part. Many thanks to everyone who was involved and congratulations to this year’s winners, Swalecliffe, and to Herne Juniors and Hampton in second and third place respectively.
KS1 Wake & Shake Festival & KS2 Wake & Shake Competition
We look forward to welcoming schools to HBHS for this event at 1pm on Wednesday – information has already been sent out. Please remember to bring your music (ideally on your phone or ipad. Unfortunately we will not be able to use music from a CD).

TERM 4 COMPETITIONS
Below are the competitions taking place during Term 4. Further details/team requirements etc are given in your Competition Handbook. Please be reminded that there is a maximum number of teams that we can accommodate so entries are on a first come first served basis but must be received by the entry deadline stated. Where more than one team has been requested, please note that this is not definite until confirmed by us.
Please note that the Handball and Infant Agility events may be impacted due to the sportshall being used for mock exams, ie. Handball may have to be held outside. Further information will be given in due course.

MINI GOLF FESTIVALS
Kent Golf will be hosting two Mini Golf festivals during 2023 and have asked us to share the following details with you:
The PGA coaches will do a 1 hour session with the students from each school using Golfway equipment before the festivals.
